How much does it cost?Â
Starlink has ended most zip code / area based waitlists and have gone to a rental / lease sales model. Currently the hardware is free of charge on a lease, and packages start at $55 dollars a month with a $20 dollar initial shipping charge for the lease kit. There is also an option to own your Starlink equipment outright by purchasing it through either WSS or any authorized reseller of Starlink. WSS strongly recommends buying from an authorized retailer, and actively avoiding buying used equipment. The transfer process on Starlink equipment is very specific and if not done properly can leave you with hardware that cannot be used.Â
Is Starlink going to perform like I expect? I am worried about data limits!
Traditional data caps are a thing of the past. Currently Starlink does not limit the amount of data unless large commercial services are moving large amounts of data in a given time period. The ratings on the "Get Started" wizard are for the speed of connection, not data usage limits. A typical residential user will consume / transfer anywhere from 100Gb to 3Tb of data monthly through the Starlink network with additional charges.

100mbps is often times sufficient to run a typical household. Rarely will a customer ever need 200mbps or greater plan to run seamlessly. We have multiple applications where Starlink is able to handle 5+ TV's, 5+ smart devices, and run computers / printers / phones simultaneously.
